The North Hudson Sewerage Authority offers guided tours of our wastewater treatment facility to help students, educators, and community groups learn about the essential role of wastewater management in protecting public health and the environment. These tours provide a hands-on learning experience, highlighting the role of wastewater treatment in protecting both public health and the environment. Led by our experienced engineers, the tours cover our operations, including visits to labs and control rooms, giving insight into the technologies used and the importance of preserving the environment

What to Expect
Guided access to labs, control rooms, and treatment facilities.
Presentations from NHSA engineers about wastewater treatment, flood management, and environmental protection.
Q&A on careers in environmental and water management.
Optional lunch can be provided upon request.
Group Guidelines
Maximum group size: 30 guests.
Recommended for middle school age and older (grades 6 and above). Elementary groups (K–5) are too young for tours due to safety considerations.
All participants should wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes.
Tour Schedule
Tours are available on the first two Wednesdays of each month.
Tours run between 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM and must be scheduled in advance.
